Expanding Development

Expanding Development

This is black ballpoint pen on 8.5"x11" paper. Drawn in 2011.

The payment info page contains my rules for giclee prints.

From my blog article about these types of drawings: One area of investigation is to imagine a level distantly above cosmic wherein entire dimension pops into existence in a spherical shape and then bursts like a bubble in boiling water in a pot on the stove. Although to our own perception the length of time it takes for the bubble to pop is longer than the age of our universe.

In Expanding Development, there are geometric shapes mixed with variations of spheres and organic forms. In this view the conditions must be right for objects to form that match with our description of rectangles. In the bottom center of the composition, there is a series of forming spherical objects - perhaps each contains a multiverse? The structures in the top left could be responsible for formation of other objects in the drawing. A series of smaller spherical objects lies at the top of the composition. Could it be that comsic structures grow close to each other like fruit on a vine?
